About Glen

Glen has lived in the Austin area for 50 years. Having developed an interest in construction at an early age, Glen started as a jobsite helper and became a lead carpenter on a framing crew by the age of 18. His career advanced into general remodeling and ultimately into general contracting, where he performed large-scale renovations, built custom homes and remodeled commercial office spaces and restaurants.

Due to his reputation for excellence, he was selected as the general contractor for the award-winning Heritage Square Office complex located in Austin.  Glen also performed a number of other historical restorations including the famed Bremond House (featured in National Geographic Magazine) located on the historical block in downtown Austin.

Glen's decades of experience as a builder prepared him well for his career transition into becoming a building code inspector nearly 25 years ago.

Glen was the first inspector in the US to complete all ICC (International Code Council) required residential exams earning the #1 Combination Residential Code Inspector Certification from ICC/SBCCI in 2000.

That certification was the start of a long and difficult process toward becoming certified as a Master Code Professional which he received in October 2007.

Although Glen no longer performs residential or commercial real estate inspection on existing property, he still maintains his State of Texas Professional Inspector's license # 5793, in addition, to his other certifications.

When Glen is not in the field working you can find him on the local golf course driving a Titleist, or in the Hill Country driving his sports car. Glen's lifelong passion has always been music.

Glen is a singer, songwriter, musician, recording engineer and producer currently working in his new recording studio on re-recording his life's work of music.
